Over 80% of the raw ingredients and packaging used to make and present Baileys Irish cream is sourced from the island of Ireland. The cream is fresh, dairy cream that comes from two dairy suppliers. The whiskey is a triple pot still blend, made to a proprietary specification and supplied from The Old Midleton Distillery, Co Cork. The sugar comes from sugar cane and sugar beet. The distinct style of Baileys Irish cream is derived from a unique proprietary recipe of natural cocoa extracts, giving Baileys Irish cream its chocolate character and essence. 275 million litres of fresh Irish milk are required annually to produce the fresh cream used in the manufacture of Baileys Irish cream. 40,000 of the top-bred Irish dairy cows produced the daily cream requirement for Baileys Irish cream grazing on approximately 1500 selected and accredited Irish farms mainly on the East coast of Ireland.
